New in My Wardrobe for Summer 2023 – Summer Outfit Ideas

Hi Loves and welcome back to my Blog! Today, we’ve got a “What’s New in My Wardrobe” Blog, and I feel like it’s been quite a long time since we’ve done one of these. So I’ve got lots to show you. I’ve got a ton of clothing new on the rail, but I thought we could start off doing jewelry and accessories.

Boutique Minimaliste Ring

So, I basically found this company last year, I think it was called Boutique minimalist and I really like the stuff; it hasn’t tarnished. So we’re back on the website to order a few new bits, and I honestly, they’ve got so much stuff. I was so excited. So I picked up this new ring, and Cloudy actually was like, “How expensive is that ring?” I thought I’d really like gone all out and bought a really expensive ring because it does look really expensive, doesn’t it? And I think like, they really are reasonably priced. I think this was around 40 pounds.

And then I also picked up this bracelet as well, like a really chunky gold bracelet I’ve been looking for for such a long time, and I’ve got quite small wrists. So I struggled to get ones that fit, and I actually think this looks so nice. These are from Astrid & Miu, their welded bracelets, and I had them two or three weeks ago, and I’ve been loving them because you’d never have to take them off, and they’re gold, so they don’t tarnish. You can wear them in the shower, and you don’t have to think about putting them on. I think with bracelets, it’s something I always forget, but I love it when I actually remember to wear them. So I’ve been loving having the welded ones as well.

I also picked up these earrings. They’re like a gold hoop, but they’re more like vintage looking. I was wondering whether they were going to be a lot of vintage earrings when you buy them. They’re clip-ons, and I can’t wear clip-ons because they really hurt my ears. So I was worried they were going to be the clip-ons, but they’re not. They’re just normal earrings, and they’ve got like this diamond in them with the gold. And I think they look so nice on.

Hush Western Boots

Something else I picked up recently, and I actually really need your opinion on, are these cowboy boots. I don’t know if I’m cool enough to wear cowboy boots, that’s the issue. And I see them on so many people, and I love them so much when I put them on. I was like, I don’t know if I can rock these. Like, is it my style? But I just think they look so, so good on. So I picked these up from Hush. They were 130 pounds. They’re real suede, and they’re not the tall ones because I tried the tall ones on before, and because I am quite tall, obviously, I’m 5’10”, I don’t think the tall ones look right on me. So I thought they would try sort of like a mid-calf length boot to see if I preferred them. I do think that’s quite a reasonable price for the boot. So I show you them on and let me know what you think?

Katie Loxton Bag

Also picked up this cute little tote bag from Katie Loxton. I actually worked with Katie Loxton back in May, and I went on a trip with them, and I fell in love with this bag on the trip. Literally, one of the girls had the bag, and she was traveling with it, and I was like, “Can I borrow your bag? Can I borrow your bag? Can I borrow your bag?” like constantly throughout the trip. So I’m so glad I finally picked one up for myself. I think this is going to be perfect for traveling. We’ve got a few trips coming up, and I feel like it’s quite hard to get something you can fit everything in. I got a really big laptop, so I feel like my laptop’s gonna fit in here. And then also when I get there, this can double up as like a bag when we’re going out for the day to the beach in Italy.

We travel around quite a lot. We go through the towns, so a beach bag kind of isn’t enough sometimes. So I feel like this is a really good one for that. I absolutely love the print. I think it looks so chic, and you can also personalize the bags as well. I’ve got a little SM there, which I think is so cute. But for me, the print on this is a win. I just think it makes it look so much more expensive than it actually was.

Dresses & Clothing

Karen Millen Co-Ord Top & Skirt

First up, we have this little coord from Karen Millen, So this is the little top, and then you’ve got the matching skirt. This is the skirt; it is a midi skirt, and obviously, because I’m five foot ten, I love a midi skirt. I feel like midi skirts are my best friend because they’re always long enough for me, and they always just look so much more flattering than mini skirts because normally, they are too short for me. So I just want to show you a little bit of a close-up of the buttons because I love to show you the buttons, you know me. Like these little gold ones, and I just love all the detail on all Karen Millen’s bits. I love it. Oh my God, no, stop, how cute is it? How pretty is this for holidays? Oh, it’s so cute, fits perfectly as well. I still don’t like the material; it’s got pockets as well. I knew it; I knew they wouldn’t disappoint me.

How pretty, got a little gold belt. Oh, I just love it. I just love it. I think it’s so cute. I wish you could see the bottom; let me put the camera down a bit so you can see how long it is because it is so long on as well. Okay, I’ve moved the camera down slightly, and I’m hoping now that you can see how long this is. Oh my God, it’s so good. I feel like, let me have a garden party. I am hosting my own garden party for this. I haven’t got a garden. If I get the house, it goes through, garden parties at mine, and this was the one I’ll be wearing, pouring everyone lemonade. Like I love it!

Karen Millen White Dress

So next up, we’ve got this white dress. Oh my God, this dress I wore it out on the weekend. I had so many people saying, “Oh, that’s such a lovely dress.” And this little old lady came up to me, and she was like, “Oh, you look so beautiful in that dress.” I was like, “Thank you so much.” And she was like, “Are you going to marry today?” Like asking because she was obviously wearing white. And I just looked at Claudio, my boyfriend, and just laughed. I was like, “No, not today. Hopefully soon.” So I absolutely love the details on this. I just think it is absolutely stunning. I felt so nice in it, and I’ll show you a little bit of a close-up because it really is all about the details in this dress. So you’ve got these lovely little buttons; you’ve got a waist tie, which we all know is my favorite thing. And then you’ve got this pleat detail in the skirt, and I just find it so, oh, it’s so flattering. And I’ll show you on in a sec. You’ve got the sweetheart neckline, and then the straps are adjustable as well.

So all in all, this fits so well because of the waist tie and the pleated skirt. And I actually picked this up in tall because I’m going to do a ton of tall stuff on the website. But this also comes in petite and the usual sizing as well. How pretty is this, literally? Like when I got it on, I’m walking around like this. I was walking around Hyde Park romanticizing my life to the fullest. It’s very fairy-tale. It’s a midi; it’s the perfect length. You can’t actually see the length, but honestly, it’s the perfect, perfect glam. And it is lined as well, so it’s not see-through. I’ll just show you the lining there.

Karen Millen Scallop Pink Dress

The next two options, because I’m actually going to the races with Karen Millen this week, I didn’t know which to wear. I didn’t realize there were so many rules of what you could wear to the races, but there are, apparently. So this is my first option. I love the sweetheart neckline; I just thought it was so different. It’s also got a waist belt in the same material as the dress. I think it looks really chic. Really nice split up the leg. Comes to a perfect length on me, which obviously, we know is hard because I’m tall as you can see, but this is option number one, very, very cute. I think it was a size eight; I got this one in.

Yeah, I got all my dresses in Karen Millen in size eight. I love the neckline, and I think it’s super flattering. Obviously, we’ve got our split. It’s a really nice length. I feel like it needs a little bit of a hair moment, though. I feel like you’re not doing my hair up and really minimal accessories with this one. No chunky jewellry. Imagine it with a little pearl earring. I feel like that’s way cuter. And obviously, if I do wear a dress to the races, then I have a little hat as well. I love the color, and I feel like it’s just quite different, this one.

Karen Millen Off Shoulder Tan Dress

And this is my other option. I think it might be a bit too warm for this one; I don’t know. But it’s so nice; I love it. I love the color; I think it looks so chic. I love the buttons; it’s got an off-the-shoulder but not off-the-shoulder because the rules are you can’t wear off-the-shoulder, but I feel like you could get away with this because it’s not even proper off-the-shoulder. It’s like kind of a little bit, which I think looks so nice on. You’ve got these dark brown buttons, and then you’ve got the pleated skirt. So it kind of looks like a blazer on top with a skirt underneath, but obviously, it is just a one-piece. It’s a dress; got these really nice buttons on the back of the arms as well, which just look so good on. Again, I got this in a size eight.

Oh, so these are my two options; let me know which you prefer. I’ll pop this on for you now. The color on this, so good. The neckline so flattering. I actually feel so nice in this; I feel like this could be perfect for the races. Super sophisticated; you’ve got that pleated skirt. I love the details; I love the off-the-shoulder but not really off-the-shoulder. I feel like they’re not going to be able to tell. They won’t catch me outside. I think, like, with a little really nice headpiece, this is going to be so, so pretty.

Karen Millen White Top

And the last thing from Karen Millen, we’ve got this cute little white top. And it’s kind of similar to the one I’ve got on, but this is more of an off-white. It’s got, like, a silky feeling, whether this is more cotton. It’s very clean white; it’s got little shoulder pads in the poof to keep it poofy. And I just love; I do love an exaggerated arm, as we can tell. I think it looks so, so cute. Down, and I’ll give you a little bit of a close-up again. They’ve got these really nice little buttons, and you’ve got the gold hardware zip on the back.

Revolve Green Waistcoat

Next up, this is from Revolve. It’s like a cute little waistcoat. It comes with matching trousers, but the matching trousers went out of stock in my size after I already ordered them both, and I had the email to say the matching trousers were out. So in my head, I was like, “Right, I’ll send the waistcoat back because I haven’t got the matching trousers.” But when I tried it on, I just liked it. It’s just so cute, and I think it’s jaw. It’s very similar to a Zara waistcoat at the minute. It’s kind of like that Zara vibe with this, but this has got the extra little bit of material there, which gives it just something a little bit extra special.

And then you’ve got the back, which is completely backless, but you’ve got these adjustable straps. Honestly, I just love it. When I was wearing this, it’s like, I won’t need to wear my hair up because I need people to see the back of this waistcoat because it’s so cute. How cute is this? So when I saw it, you could wear it with high-rise jeans as well. I’ve actually got a picture from Insta that I took with this wearing high-rise jeans, so I’ll pop that in so you can see the difference. But I just thought I would also show you with low rise as well. So I feel like this is quite a cool outfit, especially for summer nights, just like evenings when you’re going out with friends.

The back is the main character. How pretty is the back? I love the back. And I don’t know if you’ve been around for a while, you’ll remember me saying, since I’ve got loads of tattoos on my back, I just love anything backless because I feel like you can see all the little details. But I just think it looks so cute. I just love the color as well. I feel like this color, I’m very into this color at the minute. It’s just such a shame that I couldn’t get the matching trousers because I feel like that whole suit would have been such a good vibe.

Revolve White Shirt

And also from Revolve, we’ve got this little white shirt. Now, I actually wanted the Jacquemus shirt. I’ve always wanted it, but I just think it’s so expensive for a shirt. I think it’s around 400 pounds, you know, the open one with the tie. And I do love it. I think it looks stunning on, and I did have my eye out on all the second-hand websites just to see if it was being sold second-hand because I just couldn’t justify the 400 pounds for the shirt. So I picked up this as kind of like a dupe. So it’s got the exactly the same neckline, and then you’ve got the tie there as well. So it looks very, very similar. Obviously, it’s not the same, but I did pick this up from Revolve.

I got it in a size small, but you know what? I should have gone up to the medium. I think it would have looked a little bit better in the medium of this one. Now, with this, I don’t know whether you’re supposed to tie it twice or once, but I feel like probably once. Like, now I’m looking around me, I think the once looks better than when I tied it twice. Although I feel like I need some sort of tape to keep me in this just in case. I feel like it’s a bit risky at the minute, just not being… Do you know what?

I actually have a stick-on bra that I could put on this just there. So I could probably just put that on just to make me feel a little bit safer. But I do think this is so cute. Imagine this with maybe some high-waisted jeans, some really cute sandals. I actually had a pair of sandals, but I forgot to include them in the pic, but I’ll show you next time with them. They’re green; they’ve got flowers all over. That would look so good with this.

Forever New Floral Off Shoulder Dress

So next up, we have this little dress from Forever New, and I’ve been purchasing quite a lot of Forever New stuff recently. I did work with them a while back over on Instagram, but I just love their stuff. I think they’re so pretty, and I bought this because obviously, we do have Italy booked, and I just thought this is a very Italy dress. It’s off the shoulder; it goes really lovely floral pattern, and then this really small waist tie. And I just feel like it’s very princessy vibes. It’s very cute, and I just feel like it’s light and floaty and really nice for summer.

Makes me feel really feminine. You’re not gonna feel too hot in this; I think the material is quite light. But even like a day to night vibe, I think this is so, so pretty. So I’ll definitely be saving this one. Personally, I think maybe I’ll wear it out in London, but probably not. I feel like this is going to be perfect on holidays. I got this in a size eight, and yeah, I get everything in nature from Forever New. How cute is this? Oh, I love it. I love the sleeves, the waist tie. Oh, I saw that I’ve not got a bra with someone either, but you could obviously wear a strapless bra; that would be fine. But I actually feel fine in it. I think it’s so, so cute.

Alexander Miro White Swimsuit

Next up, a swimsuit. You know what? I actually love buying swimsuits. I buy so many of them. I just love a new swimsuit, and I am the type of person who will spend a little bit extra on swimwear just because I feel like good quality swimwear, like there’s nothing like it. It just lasts so long. Some of the swimsuits I’ve got in my wardrobe from like three, four years ago, and it’s always the ones I pay a little bit extra for. I said I want to pay a little bit extra because I promote my wardrobe all the time. This one is actually from Alexandra and The Raw, and I actually picked up a few things from this brand. It’s a new brand to me I discovered this year, and the quality is so good. And you know what I love most about it?

Not only the little tie on the arms, but the little belt. How good. I just feel like the little belt is so flattering. It actually came in black as well. I didn’t know whether to get this in white or black, and I hope I made the right decision. I don’t have a white one, so is that right? Let me go white. But now I don’t know if I should have gone black. Yeah, it’s so cute, isn’t it? This and yeah, I just feel like this is going to be so dreamy in it today.

Alexander Miro Red Dress

So this dress is also from Alexandra. Got a little waist tie that you can also wrap around your neck as well. Sometimes the models have it on the neck on the website, and sometimes they have it around the waist. Oh God, this is just like a frothy, really nice beachy vibes. I wore a similar one in Mickey Mouse. You might have seen on my Instagram in zebra. So then I picked up the red one as well because I love this everyone so much, and it was so comfortable on holidays. I feel like this one’s just very holiday vibes. Like you’ve got the split in the leg, you’ve got this tie, which on the website they sometimes do around the neck. I just don’t know how that would stay there.

Do you know what I mean? Like how would that stay around the neck? I’m not sure, unless you tied it, I guess. I can see the vibe. It looks so good on the website with an F, but I feel like for me, it has to be the waist tie. Like if I’ve got a tie, just go around the waist. I just feel like for me, this just makes me feel so much better, especially with like a floaty dress. I think it’s so flattering to tie something around the waist with a split, and this is going to be a good one for our beef.

Pretty Lavish Yellow Dress

And then lastly, we have another kind of like a holiday vibes, holiday find because it’s this really strange material. It’s a little bit warm. I don’t know if I could wear this on holidays. Maybe it’s like a London vibe, but I just really love the color, to be honest. I love yellow. I love anything yellow, especially for summer. Now you’ve got this halter neck. It’s kind of a tight material, so it’s like a suck you in fits perfectly. The length is so good on this, obviously because I am tall. I feel like it comes with a really lovely length, and I do feel like maybe this is like a nighttime vibes on holidays. You’ve got to scoop it back, and this one is actually from Pretty Lavish. I love the color of this one. I feel like it’s a very holiday vibes number. For some reason, I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing this out in London.

It’s probably because I don’t feel like I could probably wear a bra with it. I could do the stick-on bra, but I don’t think I could do anything because of the back. Because obviously, you’ve got that backless detail, which I love. And on holidays, for me, but when I’m in London, not so much with another bra. I feel like I need a bra in London for some reason. I love the color. It’s such a nice length. It is so comfortable. It’s kind of like a towel material. It seems a bit like a towel. It’s very beachy vibes. So I feel like on a night out on holiday, this one will be perfect.
