Hi Loves and welcome back to my Blog. We’ve got a huge collective haul. We’ve got some bits from Zara, Karen Millen, and Other Stories. And this is probably actually going to be my last summer haul now because I feel like the next bunch of things I’m going to be buying are probably going to be Autumn/Winter, which is crazy because we haven’t even had a summer in London. And then we’re going to finish with Other Stories. And let’s get started!
Karen Millen
Karen Millen White Playsuit
First up, we got this white playsuit, and I absolutely love wearing white in summer. I don’t know why; I just feel like everyone doesn’t really like… even today, I’ve got these white trousers or something like this. I feel like white is just my color in summer, as it probably is yours as well. I just love the color on this. I don’t have anything like it in my wardrobe, and I’m just loving playsuits and jumpsuits at the minute. I’ve been buying a ton of them, and I do feel like they are kind of a thing that I pull out every year. I’ve got some playsuits in my wardrobe from three to four years ago, and I do just bring them out every year because they’re so comfortable. I love the feeling of this. It’s like a shirt material, so it’s very light when you’ve got it on, and it’s got this gold hardware.
I’ll show you a little bit of a close-up of the hardware, but you can’t really see once you’ve got it on because it hides it quite well. It’s kind of like cargo style, but again, it does feel like a shift. I got this in a UK 10, and it fits absolutely perfectly. And if you’re a subscriber, you know I always go for Karen Millen because I’m five foot ten, so I’m quite tall, and to get things like this that fit me well is a struggle, and Karen Millen’s always a go-to for tall bits for me.
Karen Millen Blue & White Stripe Shirt
Next up, we’ve got this blue and white shirt, and I do have a few blue and white shirts in my wardrobe. Obviously, I’ve got one on today. I think I own about three or four now. What actually attracted me to this on the website was it had a waist tie. You know how much I love a waist tie, but I’ve never seen one on a shirt before. So I was like, “Right, let me put them in the bag. Let me try it, and if I don’t like it, I’ll send it back.” But when I got it on, I absolutely loved it. You’ll see it in a second in the pic, but basically, you tie this around the back, and then you put like a really lovely bow in the front, and it looks so cute. I’ll give you a little bit of a close-up. We’ve got these little gold buttons, and they say “KM” on them, and you’ve got these longer cuffs, which I love as well.
I thought that was like a little bit of extra love. A long cuff. I feel like this is quite versatile, so you could easily wear this to the office in summer, even when you transition into Autumn. This would be a go-to. But I think you can also wear it out as well, like the way I’ve styled it here with the shorts. I would easily wear that to dinner or out in the evening in the summer. I think it’s very versatile. I actually picked this up in a size UK 10, and I do get most of the stuff from Karen Millen in a 10.
Karen Millen Pink Utility Shorts
Next up, we’re going to talk about these little cargo shorts, and I absolutely love these. The reason why I bought these is I do struggle to find things long enough, as I said, I’m five foot ten. So with shorts, it’s quite a difficult thing to find things that come to a good length, they’re high-waisted, but they still got really good coverage. It is quite rare, to be honest, to find. So when I picked these up, I loved them. I actually got the matching shirt. You might have seen on my Instagram already. This is them with the matching shirt that they come in. It’s kind of like a cord, looking very similar to the playsuit that we saw earlier on. So I feel like I’ve clearly got a bit of a style this summer.
I just thought it looked so cute. The good thing, obviously, about having separates is that you can then wear them separately. I’ve styled them in the pic with a white shirt just to go for a bit more of a relaxed look. They actually do come with a little belt as well, but I just put the Celine belt with it just to elevate the look a little bit. But they do come with a belt themselves. I haven’t got the shirt to show you today. This is actually in the wash. My bad, but I do think they look so good together.
Karen Millen Pink Floral Dress
So next up, we’ve got a little bit of a different one. We’ve got this little mini dress, and I picked this up because we are actually going to a wedding, but we’re only going in the evening. And I feel like I’ve not done that for such a long time that I kind of forgot what you’re supposed to wear. Obviously, it’s the wedding, so you still need to dress up, but it’s the evening, so you don’t need to be as dressy as you would if you were going in the day. So I thought like a mini dress would be a good compromise because I feel like a long one would have been too dressy. So I picked this one up. How cute is it? I just loved it. It’s got these huge exaggerated sleeves, but you can still see your arms. I think it looks so cute. The fit on this dress is so good. I’ll show you in a sec, give you a little bit of a close-up of the pattern. I love the scoot. You’ve got this tool skirt, and I just think the fit on this was so lovely.
I’ve tried it on now so you can see it on. It just fitted me perfectly. I feel like the neckline was so flattering when I had it on. It just felt very cute, very feminine, and I feel like it’s perfect for a wedding evening. I think—I hope I haven’t showed it to the bride yet, but I hope this is going to be completely fine. And I’m sure it will be. I’ve started really minimally. I’m not really sure what bag to wear with this, to be honest. But I feel like I will deal with that when the time comes. But I’m wearing a size 8 in this one, and I feel like it fits perfect.
Karen Millen Khaki Utility Shorts
Next up and actually last step from Karen Millen, we’ve picked up another pair of shorts. And now, as I said, I struggled to get shorts, so I feel like Karen Millenhas slowly become like a go-to for my shorts. I actually picked up a really nice black pair similar to this but a bit more tailored. I’ve been wearing them a ton. But anyway, back to these. I love the color. I don’t have anything like this in khaki, and I just thought they were super casual and just easy to wear. As I said, we’ve got that trip coming up in Italy, and I feel like this is just a go-to. I’ve got a beach day. If we’re going to explore a new town, I think these are really cute. I’ve styled them pretty plainly, just with that white shirt. You could replace this belt and pop like a tan belt or something because they’re quite a relaxed style. I quite like the belt that they come with, to be honest. I liked it on. I felt like it really just keeps in with that relaxed sound.
But obviously, you could replace the belt if you wanted to. Again, these come a perfect length on me and a perfect height. They’re very different material to the other ones. They’re very light, a little bit softer. They feel a little bit like cotton and silk mixed, and they’ve got gold hardware on the side as well. And I actually picked these up in a size 10 as well.
ZARA
Zara Pink Dress
Next up this little dress, and tell me if you’ve seen this before in the comment section because I feel like I’m seeing it everywhere, but that’s because I’ve been looking for it. You know when your algorithms pick up what you’re looking for, and I did do a search for it. So now I feel like I’m just getting fed loads more videos of this dress. But I basically saw it online, and I thought, “Oh wow, that looks so pretty,” but I wasn’t sure whether it was going to be flattering on me because of my height. So I did a little search, and I found some people wearing it, and I actually think it looks okay for my height. Let me know what you think. There’s this stunning little flower dress, or honestly, it’s so, so pretty. I feel like it’s such a good one for holidays. Like if you’ve still got holidays coming up, I feel like this is going to be a good one. I wasn’t sure whether to cut one of these off, but I feel like it does go, like, both of them together. So let me know what you think of this. The only thing I’m going to say is in the viewfinder and even in the videos of me wearing it online everywhere, this actually looks red, but in person, it is bright pink. So don’t get fooled by the color. For some reason, it looks so red in videos, but actually, in real life, it is so pink.
Like, it’s this bright pink color. I got this in a size small. I looked online, and everyone was saying this comes up quite big, but I didn’t think so because small was my usual size. So I think go true to size on this one. I do wish it was a little bit tighter at the waist, but I feel like it’s so pretty on. I’m keen to know your thoughts on this because I don’t know, because I’ve seen it so much, I’m just really excited about it, or whether it is actually nice. This one is 49.99, but I do feel like it is worth the price. But yeah, let me know what you think on this one.
Zara Black & White Polka Dot Co-Ord
So next up, we have this little cord, and I feel like this is a really random choice by me. I would never normally go for something like this, but obviously, because we’ve got Italy in my head, I’m thinking holiday outfits, holiday vibes. And for some reason, a whole polka dot outfit would work on holidays. But my only issue is with this. I would never actually wear in London. So it is going to be one of those things I’ll keep in my wardrobe, but I’ll only ever wear it on holiday. I don’t know. Let me know what you think when you see it on. But basically, it is this shirt, and it’s got like a kind of cropped vibe. So it’s not a full-length shirt. It fits perfectly with the matching trousers. And I actually own… Oh, I feel like that happens at least once every haul.
I have only trousers in a few different materials, so the fit is so good on these. And I knew it would be, and I love the length as well. I get a medium in these with this kind of linen material, whereas all the other ones I own are cotton. So let me check the material on these. It does say with linen, and you can tell because it’s kind of a little bit itchy. So it’s 54% linen and 43% viscose on these. You can tell it’s linen because it does crease, but it’s not as creased as something that’s 100% linen would be. But it has got this slight edge. So if you are like me and you’re very sensitive to itchiness, these may not be for you.
I don’t know whether to keep them or not. Need your opinion on these. Let me know. And I’ve got them on. I know it’s a lot. It does look a lot. It is one of them outfits where you’re wearing, and people are like, “Wow, she’s gone all out today.” For some reason, I do still love it. We have got a few things planned over here in Italy, so I do feel like this would be really nice with some big gold chunky jewelry, maybe like a red lip. Like that’s where I’ve got in my head. But yeah, let me know your thoughts.
Zara Black Bodycon Dress
Now, we’re not going to spend too much time talking about the next one. So is this just a plain dress that I wanted to include it because I picked it up in white as well, and I just really liked it for holidays. Just thought it was very easy to throw on. I wear my Skims cotton dress so much last year on holidays, and I took it with me this year, and I just get so much wear after bed just because it’s just an easy throw on. You know when you can’t be bothered to really get dressed, so you’re just going to the beach, Skims dress. And I thought this was kind of like another alternative. It’s like a long midi dress. We’ve got this Jersey material. I got her in a size small. It was only 19.99. And then the back is kind of like a lower back.
I do think it’s flattering on, but not as flattering as the Skims dress. But again, obviously, the Skims dress is a lot more expensive. So I wanted to include it maybe as an alternative to that. I think they’ve been wiped as well. I think what I’m going to do is keep the white one and send the black one back because I’ve only got a Skims dress in black. So I feel like that would make sense. Otherwise, it wouldn’t, you know, don’t put me keeping both. But actually, now I’ve tried them on, I’m just going to keep the white.
Zara Tan Crochet Dress
So next up, we’ve got this little crochet dress cover-up. I love this when I saw it online, and you’re always going to like it in person. I love the high neck. The crochet is so soft, and the fit is just so good. For some reason, I do really struggle with crochet things. Sometimes they’re a little bit too baggy, especially with a dress. It’s like I want to still feel like it’s flattering and tight, dummy. And I love this little circle, this little mini dress. It is on the shorter side, as you can see in the pic. It is on the shorter side, but it’s not too short. I feel although the back is short, I would only ever wear this to like a beach or like go on exploring. Like sometimes when we’re on holiday, we go to the beach in the morning, then we walk around the town in the afternoon.
Like, I would do it for that. I wouldn’t just wear it out for dinner in the evening. This probably be like a beach vibes dress. I got it in a size small, and it fits perfectly, and it was 30 pounds. This is what it’s going to look like with white swimwear underneath, but I think with black or more neutral colors, to me, it is going to look a little bit better as well. It’s just so soft, it’s fun. I really love it. I’m definitely going to keep this one.
Zara Black & White Polka Dot Midi Dress
And then lastly for Zara, we’ve got this polka dot dress. I feel like there’s definitely a bit of a theme going on in this haul. But you know what it is? It’s because I’ve got the trip coming up, and it’s in my head that I’m going to Italy. And for some reason, when I’m going to Italy, I just want to be wearing polka dot and like red lip. And it’s just a vibe, isn’t it, going to Italy? So I definitely am going to keep this one. It’s so soft, so easy for the evenings, just going out for dinner. Very comfortable on, and the fit on this was so good as well. I do love a midi dress from Zara. Obviously, because I am tall, I do go towards wearing a lot of midi stuff just because I know that is going to be long enough for me. And I feel like the fit on this one was perfect.
You have got the adjustable straps at the back as well, which again adds fit. I got this in a size small. It was 35.99. The sizing on this is really good as well. Well, I wouldn’t say really, really good, but much better than the other stuff. It does go from an extra small to an extra large. And I do wish I had the extra, extra small, extra extra large. But we’re working on it with Zara. Hopefully, soon, it’ll be a bit more inclusive with their sizing. I love the ruching at the front. I think it looks so flattering and just adds to the overall look of the dress. I love it, even though you can’t see it that much when I’ve got it on. When you’ve got it on, you can feel that ruching, and it does feel really nice.
& Other Stories
& Other Stories Blue Playsuit
Next up, we are on to & Other Stories. We’ve got this blue playsuit, and I love this one. I saw it full price, but I think it was around 100 pounds full price, and I did feel like that was quite a lot. So I kind of was holding out. I was thinking I’ve got something similar, but then when it went half price on the sale, as I write, I’m buying it. I think it’s so cute on. It’s so pretty. Like, it’s very feminine. I feel like it’s lovely for holidays or even wandering around London. And I do love that it’s got a little waist tie. As we all know, I really wouldn’t replace that with a belt. I would just keep it as a waist tie.
I can see it in Italy now. It is lined, and it is 100% cotton, which I do love on hauls. I feel like it’s breathable. The only thing is, with this one, I don’t know if it’s too short. What do you think? I feel like because I’ve got quite a long body, obviously because I’m tall, I don’t know if it looks a little bit strange on me. Like, would it be more suited to someone who was a little bit shorter? That’s my only thing with this. I love it. I think it’s so cute. When I tried it on, I love the little puffy sleeves and the buttons. But is it too short, or does it sort of look a little bit weird on my body shape? What do you think?
& Other Stories White Shorts
Next from & Other Stories, it’s got this little white short. I actually have a similar pair, but the buttons broke off this week, and I feel like they were about four years old. So I was like, right, let me invest in & Other good pair of good quality white shorts. I picked these up. I don’t know. I’m kind of thinking maybe I’m gonna get caramel ones because the black ones I got were so good the other day, and they’re sold out in white. But I’ve got them on a watch, so I feel like if they come back in white, I might send these back. Let me know what you think. I really think the fit is good. I got it in Euro 36, and they’ve got this elasticated waist, so they’re super comfortable on. They’re just a bit sort of, I don’t know what the word is, but like, I think they’re a bit stiff. So they’re very… I guess it’s a good thing because it means that they keep the shape.
But then when I put them on, they sort of come out quite a lot. But I don’t know, I quite like them. I’ll show you in the pic. I do like them, and they are very comfy. They’re very soft. I actually think these are in the sale as well. So I don’t know. I feel like I’m in a now about these, whether to keep them or not. I do feel like they’re a good buy. And again, the length is good, which is one of the main reasons why I purchased them. So yeah, I don’t know. Let me know what you think on that one.
& Other Stories Black and Cream Scarf
And then lastly, I picked up this little silk scarf from & Other Stories. I just love wearing scarves in the summer. I feel like they look so nice, whether tied in your hair or from your neck. Like, there’s so many different ways you can wear them. And I actually picked up another one last year from & Other Stories. It was black and tan. I don’t know if you saw it on my Instagram. You might have seen it in a few pictures when we went on holidays, and I just loved wearing it. And so I thought I would pick up another one. This is a little bit more neutral colored. It’s got the cream in it, so I can wear it more with whites and just different colors to my other one. And if you are wondering how I wear it, I actually did pop a reel on Instagram.
