Hi loves and welcome back to my Blog today we’ve got a Karen Milan and Abercrombie Haul. I feel like I’ve just been buying a lot of Abercrombie and Karen Miller lately, so I thought it would be good to show you what’s new in my wardrobe. I am actually working with Karen Millen on the first part of this blog, So Let’s get started.
Military Tailored Mini Dress
So first up we’re going to talk about the Karen Millen pieces. I got this little black dress. cream a while back, and I’ve actually got it in blue as well. But I was waiting for the black one to restock because it’s just the perfect fit on me. This dress, I am tall and five foot ten, so I do struggle to get dresses and skirts long enough for me. And I just feel like this dress is the perfect fit. It’s got a high neck, which I love. It’s got really nice arms on this. I’ll show you a little bit closer. I love the little cut on the arms, and then it’s got this little frill in the skirt, which is like a little bit of extra detailing.
I always, always wear a waist belt with this dress. So I take it in a size 10. I’m an 8 to 10 usually in Karen Millen, but I take this in a size 10 because I always put a waist belt with it anyway, and it just fits me perfectly in the 10. So I am chef that this has finally come back in black because I was waiting for it for so, so long. And what I do love about this is you can also wear it as a skirt. So sometimes I just put a jumper or shirt over the top. I’ll post a picture in now of what it looks like with a shirt over the top just because I struggled to find skirts as well.
They’re long enough. I feel like places like Zara just make the skirts shorter and shorter every year. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I do love to wear this as a skirt as well. Just pop a jumper or a shirt over it and just hide that high neck, and then you’ve got a little black skirt as well for a waist belt with it, and it looks really good.
Disc Sequin Zip Detail Bandeau
We have a little bit of party wear. So I was looking for a cropped black blazer for such a long time, and I feel like I couldn’t get the perfect one. Then when I saw this on Karen Millen, I found the arms just so long on Karen Millen and stuff. And yeah, again with my height, it was hard to find the perfect little cropped black blazer, and I did find it. I love the cut on this. I also really like the back. It’s got sort of this little cutout on the back as well, which I think is giving it something extra. It’s got shoulder pads in this, and the arms are just super, super long. I haven’t actually worn this out yet because, honey, I did this week, but I’m excited to wear it out.
I think I’m going out tonight, so maybe I’ll wear it tonight. But I got this in a size UK 10. Again, fit is perfect, arms are really nice and long, and I’ve styled that with this little crop top also from Karen Milan. This is just like a sparkly. I haven’t actually got a sparkly crop top, so when I saw this online, I was like, I actually need one of these for this festive season. So I really like the cut on this. You can see it goes up a little, but it’s hard to explain. But over the chest area, it’s just got a really nice cut. I’ll obviously show it to you on. It’s super sparkly. Everyone loves sparkles this time of year. I don’t really wear that much sparkly stuff, but I feel like I have been picking up more this year than last year, weirdly. So it’s this gray silver sparkles.
I feel like this is so good. You can really dress it up, or you can wear it down. Like, I think if I was going to wear this tonight, I’d probably wear it with leather trousers and dress it down a little bit with the crop blazer over. But then you’ve still got a little bit of sparkle to give you that festive spirit. So this is a size UK 6. Actually, I don’t know why I’ve got this in a 6. I think probably it was sold out in a 10 or an 8. So maybe I’ve gone for the 6 in this. But hopefully, by the time this blog goes up, they’ll have more sizes in. It’s got some cups in here as well, so you don’t really have to wear a bra with this. It’s got some slightly padded cups in it, which is so good because I always really like to wear a bra. Obviously, with this, it just looks good with that one anyway because it’s got the cups in.
Tailored Multiway Cotton Trench Coat
One of my favorite things from this haul. Probably should have done it first because when I tried it on, I just loved it. I literally said to my partner, I was like, “How nice is this trench?” I don’t think you’ll realize because I haven’t been honest about my search for a trench, but it’s been a long, long time. Like, I’ve got a trench from Zara, another one from Other Stories, and none of them fit me right because I’m tall. They just don’t fit me properly. They come to this awkward length on my leg, and it just… they don’t look chic, they don’t look stylish. I look like I’ve got a trench coat on, and it doesn’t really fit me that properly.
It’s not long, it’s not tailored, and admittedly, obviously, I was buying ones that were a little bit cheaper. Like, my, I think my Other Stories one was like 80 or 90 pounds, but that’s still quite expensive, and it still didn’t fit me properly. I’ve actually got that here, so I’m gonna pop that on my Depop now. I’ve got this one. I love, love, love this one. So this is the trench. Honestly, it fits me so well. I’ll give you a little bit of a close-up because I feel like this needs some close-ups. So we’ve got this detailing on the shoulders, which I love. I think they’re so, so nice. Adds like a bit of extra. I feel like it looks expensive. It’s got a slight shoulder pad in the shoulders as well, which I’ve never found on a trench. Here’s a little close-up of the button, so you’ve got this gold… Yeah, if you wanted to wear it closed.
And then I’ve heard the clipping of what it looks like as a crop, and then I’ll put in the clipping of what it looks like as a skirt. And now, just to show you how this happens, because I was confused when I first got this, but basically, there are buttons all the way around, so you can detach the top of the trench to wear it as a crop. And then this also works as a skirt. Now, like when I had this, I was so excited because I wanted a trench crop as well, but again, I haven’t found one that’s got really nice shoulders. This is my dream. I’m so happy with it. It would be on my Christmas list because I’m just so, so happy with this one. So I got this in a size 10, but I could have sized up as well. I feel like this fits me perfectly to a tee, but I was a little bit concerned because I was thinking, in the future, if I ever change size, will I want a bigger one? Like, should I go to 12? So I’m an 8 to 10. I’ve gone for the 10. So I think always go for the bigger size in this. You don’t want it to be super, super tight. You want to be comfy. You want to be able to wear layers underneath it as well.
LITTLE BLACK DRESS
Lastly from Karen Millen, we’ve got this little black dress. I’ve had this actually since last year, but I’ve decided to include it today because they just put it back on the website randomly, and I got loads of questions about this last year over on Instagram. But it’s back, so I thought, right, and I included today. I wore this so much last year. It’s got this gold embroidery. I love the buttons. You can see them, little buttons, all those nice shoulders again. Really nice length. It’s got an A-line skirt.
It’s a very light material, so you can wear it in the winter. You can wear it pretty much anytime because it’s quite light. Also, pop tights within the winter or knee-high boots. But I got so much wear out of this, and I just think it’s such a nice one to have and to keep. Like, this is never going to go out. I’m gonna have this forever. I wore it so much last year, and I’ve pulled it right back out of my wardrobe this year to wear again. So I just wanted to include this one. I got this in, again, a UK 10. My toxic trait is leaving these things on clothes, so if you’ve ever seen me with my tags on my clothes, just know that I don’t take the tags off. I’ve had this for probably a year and a half. Look at this, the tag still on. I’ll never worry multiple times. I don’t know why. Is it laziness, probably, but I just never ever take the tags off things. I was shocked the other day, and I had a full tag on my top. I was like, people probably think I’m returning this after I’ve owned it, but I just forget to take the tags off.
ABERCROMBIE COAT
We’re going to move on to Abercrombie, and we’re going to start strong with one of my favorite things that I picked up from Abercrombie over the last couple of weeks or months: this sheelin, vegan sheelin crop jacket. It is so good. Basically, I wanted the Jacquemus jacket, and it was like 500 pounds, and I just couldn’t spend 500 pounds on a jacket. It just wasn’t in me to do it. So when I saw this in Abercrombie, I was keeping my eye out for a dupe for a while. I did try one or two on from other brands; they weren’t quite right. When I saw this in Abercrombie, it looked quite structured, still looked very similar to the Jacquemus ones, so I ordered it straight away, and I loved it. It fits so well. It’s so, so warm as well. Like, no joke, boiling in it, really, really warm.
Obviously, it’s cropped, so you’ll have to wear it with jeans or something that covers your belly if you want to stay warm, but it’s so warm. It’s all coming for you. Absolutely love it. I love the fit on it. It’s the perfect crop. Like, it’s not too long, and I just think it’s a dream. I’ve seen this styled so many different ways, and I’m absolutely loving it. I’ve not had it that long, and I’ve already worn it a ton of times. So I got this in a size small. Normally, in Abercrombie, I go extra small, small, or medium, but I got this in a small. Normally, I’m extra small or small. I go extra small on the bodysuits because they’re quite stretchy, but obviously, with this, I wanted it to be the perfect fit. So I did go for the small. I am trying to get a sort of re-read, and hopefully, in the New Year, I’ll get another one.
CHOCOLATE BROWN BODYSUIT
We’ve got this bodysuit, and I’ve wanted the chocolate brown bodysuit for a while. I’ve got a ton of Abercrombie bodysuits in my wardrobe, and I wear them so much. I feel like they’re such good quality. So I got this one in an extra small. They’re just so nice fitting. I love the fit on them. This is an extra small. I just feel like they hold you in; they’re warm, they’re cozy, they’re very soft. They’re not itchy, and they are really good quality. You can just tell. Obviously, these are a little bit above, I would say, probably Zara prices for a bodysuit at Abercrombie, but the quality is so there, and they do last so long.
Like, I’ve got a ton from last year as well, so they’re in my wardrobe. I’m not sure how much this one was, but my favorite thing about this is the neckline. So you’ve got that little V, and this is like a boning, but you can’t feel it when it’s on. It’s super comfortable. But it has got that little bit of a boning there to keep the shape, and it looks so nice on. I did actually wear that with my brown trousers that I’m going to talk about.
WHITE BODYSUIT SHIRT
We have another bodysuit. This one’s a little bit softer, I’d say, than the other one. It’s just a little bit of a different material. This one’s softer, more like a little jumper. So I also got this in a size extra small. It’s just this cream color. I just love that it’s a bodysuit and a roll neck. I just think it works so well. If you want to wear it with little skirts or trousers, I hate it when you have that sort of underneath of the jumper underneath your little skirt or whatever, if you know what I mean. So this is good because you can just put it as a bodysuit. And again, because I’m tall, they’re just so comfy because they’re so stretchy.
Look how much stretch that is. I can actually do the body suit up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn a Zara bodysuit, tried to tuck it in because I’m so tall, and it would be painful if I just did it up. So this luckily has all the stretch in there, so you can do it up even if you’re tall as well. And I just think they’re such a nice fit, nice long arms, really cozy, really good quality material. And yeah, got this in an extra small, and I am maybe thinking about getting this in one of the other colors because I’ve just worn it so much.
LITTLE MINI SKIRT
We’ve got a little mini skirt. This is a vegan leather mini skirt. I was looking for one for a while, and again, because I’m tall, I feel like I constantly repeat myself. I’m so sorry if you’re bored of hearing that, but I do struggle getting little short skirts. What I love about this one is it’s got shorts underneath, so it’s got a short lining. Because it is short on my body, I feel like this helps having that lining so you’ve got your shorts underneath.
It just makes you feel a little bit more comfortable. Personally, if it is short, then it’s got shorts, and then it makes me feel a little bit more covered and more comfortable to wear it. I’m not sure why, it just does. So I got this in a size small. It is a little bit big, but because I wanted to wear it with tap-like jumpers and knits, I kept the small. I just love the style on this. I thought it was super cute, and I was looking for one for a while.
Vegan Leather 90s Straight Pant
We’ve got the brown trousers, another tag. I can actually tell you how much they are now. That’s the one good thing about keeping the tags in all my clothes. But yeah, I got these in a waist 27, but I actually ordered a new pair of jeans that I haven’t got on the road yet, but I’m going to get because they’re so good. They’re from Abercrombie, and I got them in the 26. So I think I should be buying a 26 or 27, but there’s only an inch, so they both fit me. These are the vegan leather trousers. I’ve actually got them on today as well. These are vegan leather as well. These are the skinny ones. I can’t really show you, but these are the skinny ones. I’ve had these since last year, and I’ve worn them so much because they’re so comfy, and they’re just very soft. You know, sometimes you get leather trousers or faux leather, and they’re a bit stiff. These are like buttery leather. They’re so soft. They’re easy to wear. They’re comfortable, and that’s what I love about Abercrombie.
Abercrombie and another pair of Abercrombie trousers. We’ve got these. They’re like jeans but they’re shiny, so they’re like shiny jeans, basically denim. They’ve got quite a lot of stretch in them. I got these in a size 27 again, and these are from the curve love range. I get everything, all my trousers from the curve love range. The difference between the curve love range and the normal range, I think it’s got an extra two inches of material at some point around this area. So I don’t know why, they just fit me better. I’m not sure why, but they just do. So I get everything from the curve love range if I can. So these are just like shiny jeans. I was looking for them for a while, and I saw them, and I thought perfect. The only thing is with these, they haven’t got like a straight waistband. They’ve got like a V. You’ll see it better when I wear them, but I love it. I love these. They’re so good just to wear with boots tucked in, and I can style them a ton of different ways.
Curve Love Ultra High Rise 90s Straight Jean
Different ways, these jeans actually were not on the rail today because I forgot about them, but I’ve just gone and grabbed them from the room because I love them. They’re new in from Abercrombie. I got these in a waist 26 and a tall length, and they’re so good. They’re such a nice fit, and I wanted this darker jean because I wanted to wear it on nights out. So I wanted it to be a little bit more, like, I can still wear them in the day, but I wanted to be able to wear like a sparkly top or a bodysuit in the night with them as well. So I wanted this darker denim, and I actually don’t have anything like this. So I ordered the darker blue denim with a 26 long. So good with a pair of boots and just like a nice knit on top. They look so nice, and they just fit so well.
CARAMEL BLACK COAT
We’re going back to Karen Millen for one more thing because I can’t remember if I actually showed you this in my last haul, and if I didn’t, I made a big mistake because this is one of my favorite pieces that I’ve been wearing probably for the last two months. If you follow me on Instagram, you wouldn’t be bored of seeing this coat, so I apologize. Please don’t click off yet. I know you probably won’t, but when you see this, where’s my coat? My new coat from Karen Millen. It smells like my perfume. It’s so, so nice. This is a color block black and caramel coat, and I never have ever had so many compliments about a coat.
When I wear this out, people literally come up to me and be like, “I love your coat. Where is it from?” And when I wore it last time, the guy was like, “This is such a unique coat. It looks so good.” I’m like, “Thank you so much.” I love, love, love this coat. I’m so pleased that I’ve got it. Absolutely chuffed. I was eyeing it up for so long, and then, yeah, I finally got it. It’s just so good. I can’t even tell you. The fit on the shoulders is just so good. This fit, I know I’m going to keep this forever. You can wear so much underneath there. I’ve been wearing all black. I’ve been wearing caramel. I’ve been mixing it up a little bit. Obviously, because I’ve dyed my hair now, if you’re new, my hair used to be brown, but if you’re a subscriber, I’ve got this red color hair now. I’m still learning if I can still wear all the colors in my wardrobe, but I have been wearing this a ton, and I do think it looks really nice with the new hair color.
